Welcome to Green Wave Gardens!
We are an inland Washington
organic farm providing fresh fruits and vegetables to local farmer's
markets and restaurants. We specialize in a broad variety of garlic, but
grow a diverse abundance of other produce as well. Check out our market
schedule for a list of dates and times when you can pick out your own
basket of goodness from Green Wave Gardens!
The season is upon us! Market has started, CSA’s are underway as of June 8th, and garlic harvest is just around the corner. It has been a busy start to the farm season, and it will continue in that fashion until the end of October, as usual. The rain has soaked the earth beyond expectancy and filled our irrigation pond, so as soon as the sun comes out to stay, we’ll be in the thick of it all. Most of the planting is done, other than a few late season crops. We had an amazing blossom in the fruit orchards this year, likely due to the late bloom coming after the last frosts. So, it should make for a wonderful fruit year. The raspberry bushes are loaded again and the strawberries are starting to set fruit, which is very exciting. Sweet berries are one of our favorite things about the farm! We will again have a wide variety of heirloom vegetables to offer and can’t wait to start enjoying them all ourselves, as well as sharing them with you! We are very excited about the 2011 season and all that it has to offer. We will again be selling our produce at the Spokane Farmers’ Market on 5th Ave. between Division and Browne from 8 am – 1 pm, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, through the end of October. This is the only market in the Spokane area that is run exclusively by farmers, so the goal is to always provide the customer with the freshest local produce around and a great relationship with their growers.
At this time, our weekly CSA’s for the 2011 season are full, other than Winter Storage Shares. For $130, we have potatoes, onions, shallots, garlic, walnuts, and winter squash available. We also offer the option to purchase bulk winter carrots and beets if you are interested and have a good storage area. Email, call, or stop by at market to find out more information.
Garlic lovers! Be sure to get your orders in for your seed stock sooner than later! There are many varieties that are extremely popular, but limited, so they sell out quickly. To be sure you get the selection you desire, look over the offered varieties and place your order now. There are a number of unique varieties, so be sure to take the time and discover one that suits your fancy!
Keep up to date on what Green Wave will have at market by emailing now to be on our contact list with the subject: Green Wave Contact List. garlic varieties. Our garlic prices will remain the same for 2011.
Our WSDA certified organic garlic is all handcrafted, start to finish, using down to earth, organic methods.
We hand plant, hand weed, hand feed, hand harvest, and hand clean each and every bulb. This is big, beautiful, hard and clean garlic. Our goal is simple…to offer
the best garlic for the best price, with the best service. We have doubled our offerings this year, some great new additions for the
garlic "connoisseur”. You can also purchase ½ lbs. this year. $7.50 flat rate shipping on all orders!

The
care of the earth is our most ancient and most worthy and, after all, our
most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains in it, and to foster
its renewal, is our only legitimate hope.
