Asian
Tempest
1 Pound Limit
Appropriately named as it is very hot when eaten raw. Bakes, sweetly. From
South Korea originally. And, it’s an eye-catcher with it’s purplish
striping, sometimes fading into solid purple color on the bulb skins.
Very strong growth in the field, harvest early, just after Turbans. Has
the longest ‘beaks’ of any variety we grow, with 8-10 fat single layer of
cloves. Prized variety. Stores 4 months.

Turbans
Xian
1 Pound Limit
The first
garlic we harvest each year, sometimes 2 weeks ahead of others.
Showy, reddish brown, somewhat flattened bulbs, with nice fat purplish
cloves. Nice and hot, but not as hot as Asian Tempest. A top favorite of
Chester Aaron, Author of “The Great Garlic Book” and a top pick for us as
well. Great for early market. Bulbs have an average of 8 cloves. Stores 3
months.
