Killarney Red
Sorry, Sold out for 2010
What can
we say...it’s an outstanding Rocambole, winning tastes tests over the long
standing Spanish Roja. Our biggest and best Rocambole every year for us
and many other growers. Easy peel, and 8-10 single layered cloves. A must
have. Some are double cloved (a joy to cook with). Can also adapt to
wetter soil conditions than we experience here in northeast Washington
State. Harvest a bit later than rest of Rocamboles. Stores 4-5 months

* Spanish Roja
Sorry, Sold out for 2010
Get in while you can, very limited stock. The original rocambole and superb garlic flavor, favored by connosieurs. Can reach very large size in cold winters and good soils, with excellent care. Fabulous deep rich flavor. The biggest hardneck garlic we grew last year, with 90% of the bulbs reaching over 2 ¼ inches up to 3 inches across. Somewhat fussy in it’s care, but worth the challenge. An heirloom garlic originally know as Greek (Blue). Brownish wrappers with purple tinges. Short, 8-9 blunt cloves, no inner cloves. Use by the first of the year, not a great keeper. Easy peel, which is true of Rocamboles.
